Shoebox Dedication Service

This Sunday, November 17, 2024 we will dedicate our 144 Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Our prayer is that these will bless those children receiving them.

Shoeboxes

After 2 generous donations, the shipping of our shoeboxes has been covered. We should NEVER underestimate the goodness of our Lord and Savior. Next Sunday, November 17th, we will dedicate our shoeboxes that will be traveling around the world to children who otherwise would not have Christmas gifts. They will also have the gospel shared with them in their own language. Ain’t God Good?

Operation Christmas Child

HOORAY!!! We have ALL our 144 shoeboxes packed. Thank you church for all you have done for this ministry. The next hurdle is the $10.00 donation. This donation helps cover the cost of collecting shoeboxes, processing, and shipping. Our $10.00 donation per box will help provide The Greatest Gift Gospel Booklets that are written in the children’s language, as well as opportunities to train and equip local churches to use the Samaritan’s Purse Ministry Partner Guide. Let's Eat

The Wanderer's are going to O'Charley's in Fort Oglethorpe on Tuesday, October 15th. It will be a great time of fellowship. 

Food Pantry

Don’t forget to bring your nonperishable food items for the NWGA Baptist Association food pantry. The food items are given out on Wednesdays at Second Baptist Church in LaFayette. There is a box in the nursery for collecting food items. You may also make a monetary donation.

Out to Eat

We will be taking the church van to the Cracker Barrel in Ringgold on Tuesday, August 20th. The van will leave the church at 5:00. This is always a great time of food and fellowship.

Wanderer's Van Trip

Our next van trip will be on Saturday, July 27th. We are headed to The Local Goat in Ooltewah, TN. This trip will be for lunch. The van will leave at 12:00 which should put us there around 1:00. Add your name(s) to the sign-up sheet in the vestibule.

Christmas In July

Today, July 9th,  begins our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Emphasis. On the Nursery door you will find “stars”. Each star has an item listed, and a suggested amount, that will help us fill our shoeboxes. As the Lord directs your heart, please take a star, or several, and purchase the item(s) then bring items back to our donate bin. Sunday School

Remember that Sunday School will be suspended beginning today as well as May 19th, 26th, and June 2nd.We will be back on schedule on Sunday June 9th.

The Wanderer's

The church will be taking the van to The Cookie Jar Cafe in Dunlap, TN on Tuesday April 16th. Be sure to get your name on the sign-up sheet.

Drive Through Prayer Event

Drive Through Prayer Outreach

This event has been planned for Thursday, March 28th. We will begin as usual at 7:00 AM. This will allow us to contact people taking kids to school or those headed to work. We will pass out biscuits and orange juice, as well as several outreach items that morning. Begin praying now for this event as we reach out to those in our community and the surrounding area.

Eggs 4 Annie

On the nursery door is our “Eggs 4 Annie” campaign to raise $1500.00 that will go towards our Annie Armstrong Mission Offering. For every $100.00 given, an egg will be added to the door. Let’s fill up the door with eggs!

We have had $2030.00 total given to the Annie Armstrong Mission Offering. Thank you church, for your faithful giving to support our Home Missionaries.

Annie Armstrong Mission Offering

The month of March begins our North American Mission Board, Annie Armstrong emphasis. Our church goal has been set at $1500.00. Please be in prayer and let God guide you in your giving.

Bible Journey Readers

We now have 22 people who have taken the challenge to read the Bible through in 2024. To keep us on track, there will be a TIP each Sunday from one of the Journey readers.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

Thank you church for giving so graciously to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. This year’s goal was set at $1,500.00. We surpassed this goal and raised $2,003.00. Our IMB missionaries receive 100% of this offering to help them serve the Lord in countries around the world.
